How to swap faces in a video
A video face swap needs two inputs: a target video — the clip being edited — and a source photo — one clear picture of the face you want to use. VisoPop detects every face in the target clip, reconstructs the source face across each frame, and blends it back into the original scene. Rendering runs on our servers, so there is nothing to install.
Step 1: Upload your target video
Select the clip where you want the new face to appear. You can upload an MP4, MOV, or WebM file from your device, or pick one from our template library.

- Tip: Clips with a clear, unobstructed face and even lighting give the most seamless result. Avoid heavy motion blur and shots where hands or hair repeatedly cover the face.
Step 2: Add a source photo and map faces
Upload a photo of the face you want to insert. Our engine extracts facial landmarks from the source image and matches them to each detected face in the video.
- Use a clear, front-facing photo with neutral lighting.
- Avoid sunglasses, heavy shadows, masks, or strong filters.
- JPG, PNG, and WebP are supported.
